Mammoth Hot Springs

| Mammoth Hot Springs is a huge area of terraces created by the hot springs that have come out of the ground there. Most of them were inactive when we were there, but every few years or so, a flowing spring will dry up, or a dry spring will start flowing. The flowing springs harbor a host of bacteria of many different colors, which make them absolutely spectacular. | ||||
